Substitute Instructional Aide
This is not a permanent position. The duration of this assignment is determined by the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) Team decision and is subject to change based on the student's progress towards mastery of IEP objectives.
Substitute Campus Safety Supervisor
Under the supervision of the site administration, this position provides effective supervision of students before school, after school, and during recess and lunch. Supervision of students throughout the school campus includes, but is not limited to, the playground, cafeteria, hallways, student restrooms, school entry and exit points, the school bus zones, and provide supervision of children crossing the street within a marked crosswalk. Knowledge of general needs and behavior of children; knowledge of the English language; playground supervision; and safety principles. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with adults and children; ability to understand and carry out both oral and written directions; ability to maintain schedules providing for regular supervision of students as assigned; ability to work cooperatively with others; work outdoors in all types of weather. Equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade. One year paid or volunteer experience working with children in an educational or child care setting is highly desirable.
Substitute Child Nutrition Assistant
Test Qualifications: Child Nutrition Assistant test
Essential Duties: Under general supervision, perform manual tasks such as washing dishes and/or act as cashier, collecting money from the sale of food as required. Assist in the cleaning of the kitchen, serving area, utensils, and equipment. Employee may participate in the preparation and serving of meals. Provide assistance in maintaining inventory control and operational records.
Experience: Entry level job position, no cafeteria experience required, however food service experience is desirable.
Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
Ability to: Carry out sanitation and safety practices and procedures; operate and maintain food service related equipment; perform heavy lifting and work for long periods of time on feet; perform housekeeping tasks in a kitchen; operate and maintain food service related equipment; work efficiently and effectively; understand and carry out oral and written directions; and establish and maintain good cooperative working relationships.
